【知识探究】

探究一 not... anymore的用法

Because I don’t read it anymore. 因为我不再看它了。 (P73)

【点睛】

not... anymore=no more意为“不再”，强调数量和程度“不再增加”，一般与非延续性动词连用。

【拓展】

not... any longer=no longer意为“不再”，强调时间或动作“不再延续”，与延续性动词连用。如：

He can no longer walk. =He can’t walk any longer. 他不能再走了。

探究二 since的用法

Because I’ve had it since I was a baby. 因为我还是个婴儿的时候就拥有它了。(P74)

【点睛】

since介词，意为“自从……以来”，表示自从过去某一时间点以来，强调动作或状态一直延续到现在，一般用现在完成时或现在完成进行时。

【拓展】

1. since后接时间点或从句（一般过去时），也可接“一段时间+ ago”，还可以用于句型: It’s +时间段+since+一般过去时的句子，表示某事是从什么时候开始的。如：

I’ve been a soldier since two years ago. 自从两年前我就参军了。

It’s two years since I came to China. 自从我来到中国已经有两年时间了。

2. for介词，其后面加时间段，表示一段时间，多与带数词的名词连用，其谓语需用延续性动词。如：

I’ve been a soldier for two years. 我参军已经两年了。
